Decorative acoustics

Why are acoustics important?

Room acoustics create the sound environment within which people live, work, learn, teach, grow and socialize. It is therefore essential that the interior of the room provides listening and speech comfort that can sustain both interaction and concentrated work of people inside.

The task of room acoustics is therefore to eliminate disturbing noise, but retain the sound important for communication and understanding.
Adit, like other gypsum-based acoustic materials, both absorbs unnecessary (disturbing) noise and high sound levels, and diffuses sound waves that are important carriers of language signals.

Thanks to its absorption coefficient of αw 0,90 Adit creates instant and noticeable sound improvement in a room. See more on the Adit product page or in the Knauf Danoline absorption program.
