Kalmar Hospital

Project name: Kalmar Hospital

Project type: Health Care

Location: Kalmar, Sweden

Architect: Åke Brisvall ATrio Arkitekter, Kalmar

At Kalmar Hospital, the acoustic materials were chosen based on their sustainability and maintenance profile. According to the hospital’s technical department, Knauf Danoline’s solutions met their requirements: “We made the right decision by choosing Knauf Danoline ceiling solutions. They are durable, retain their aesthetic value over time and require minimal maintenance”, says Roland Bohman from Kalmar Hospital.

In the corridors, the acoustic treatment is provided by Corridor Swing – a special ceiling solutions developed for corridor areas requiring regular inspection work. The ceiling tiles have a special “Swing” feature leaving the tiles suspended vertically along the wall during inspection and maintenance work.
